Fiber on tip spintronic emitters developped by 4 consortium members

By |2023-12-17T18:12:25+01:00December 17th, 2023|

The Fraunhofer partner, in collaboration with the CNRS-IEMN, FUB and JGU partners, published a joint article in Optics Express led by Felix Paries, which demonstrates the possibility to develop Fiber on tip spintronic emitters. This solution naturally leads to a simple and straightforward terahertz near-field imaging system with a 90%-10% knife-edge-response spatial [...]

Enzo Rongione obtained Thales PhD price for his work on THz spintronic emitters

By |2023-12-17T18:02:44+01:00December 17th, 2023|

Enzo Rongione from CNRS/Thales obtained the Thales PhD prize for his PhD thesis entitled: "Ultrafast spin-currents mediated by spin-orbit coupling : towards new concepts for THz emitters" which took place in the context of the s-Nebula project. He received his price from Bernard Quendt, Thales CTO.

Great success of the first workshop on THz spintronic !

By |2023-10-29T21:11:44+01:00October 29th, 2023|

The final workshop of s-Nebula was a great success, taking place from the 10-12th of October in Ingelheim (Germany) within the SPICE facilities. Organized by 3 members from the s-Nebula consortium, it gathered more than 70 people (and 15 online attendees) from 15 countries.  The first day was dedicated to the basic concepets of [...]

Consortium meeting in Uppsala

By |2023-10-29T21:30:16+01:00June 29th, 2023|

We had a consortium meeting the 19-20th of June in Uppsala, gathering 18 representatives from the 7 consortium members of s-Nebula. We discussed the great progress of the projet after 42 months, and the plans to achieve the upcoming and final project objectives !

Workshop on “THz spintronic technology” : 10-12th of October 2023 (Mainz, Germany) organized by consortium members

By |2023-06-18T19:00:06+02:00June 18th, 2023|

Workshop, October 10th - 12th 2023 THz spintronics is a novel research field that combines magnetism and spintronic with ultrafast optics. Although ultrafast demagnetization of ferromagnetic materials at picosecond timescale has been first observed already three decades ago, recent years have seen the rapid development of THz spintronic devices stemming from ground breaking studies. [...]

New article in Nature Communications from 4 consortium members

By |2023-06-18T14:56:12+02:00June 18th, 2023|

News from the partner CNRS/Thales. Collaboration involving 4 partners from s-Nebula consortium: CNRS (CNRS-UMPhy, LPENS), Johannes Gutenberg University, Frei Universität of Berlin and Thales. Free-space THz emission resulting from the femtosecond demagnetization of a spintronic THz emitter, and the subsequent spin-charge conversion in high spin-orbit material, has recently been routinely used to produce THz [...]

Consortium meeting in Mainz

By |2022-09-01T10:22:45+02:00June 10th, 2022|

The first in person meeting consortium meeting in two years happened the 8-9 th of June in Mainz. We were all really happy to meet again in person after the successive Covid waves in the last two years. The meeting gathered 18 people with representative from the different partners, including 6 [...]
